Core Components - Operations Server

The operations server provides centralised availability, reporting and processing capabilities, and typically there is only one operations server installed for an entire ServerAssist infrastructure.

The operations server scans the networks (Windows domains and IP address ranges) that are monitored, and automatically detects the available monitored systems, connecting to agents directly, and interrogating management servers to ascertain the systems that they are monitoring remotely.

It is responsible for generating centrally scheduled reports, and for processing any active response messages that are recieved.
