The Windows agent runs on any Microsoft Windows server or
workstation and provides local monitoring of that single system. The
console connects directly to the agent to retrieve status reports
and information from it, and to update its monitoring configuration.
The configuration of the agent and the data it collects are stored
locally, and so the agent can operate independently of the other
components.
