When the agent is installed using one of the packaged installation
methods, the Windows performance counters are extended so that they
expose metrics relating to the operation of the ServerAssist
components via the standard Windows performance query API. These
counters can be used to track and monitor internal aspects of
ServerAssist's operation, such as the size of the internal data
store, or the number of SMTP messages currently queued for delivery.
When the agent is installed from the console using the remote
deployment wizard, it is not technically possible to add support for
ServerAssist performance counters. Should it be necessary to have
these counters available on a system to which the agent has been
remotely deployed, they can be installed independently.
