The settings control the use of taskpads in the main user interface,
background processing, the storage and use of shared configuration
data, and other advanced user interface options.
Taskpads
The console can present its user interface using taskpads, allowing
quick access to core areas of functionality together with
explanatory text.Background Processing
In order to speed up some operations, the membership of
groups can be dynamically
determined as a background process.Configuration Location
In some configurations, the console is installed on multiple
workstations, but it is necessary for all consoles to use the same
configuration. In this case, the configuration can be stored in a
file, typically stored on a network share, rather than in each
user's profile.Advanced
Some areas of the user interface are not shown by default. They
typically control less used areas of functionality, and have been
hidden to increase the the usability of the user interface for the
majority of users. |
