Individual Systems - Configuration


The configuration pages are used to define how ServerAssist operates.

  • Thresholds & filters sets the thresholds for some of the key indicator metrics and defines the filters applied to the event logs.
  • Performance items maintains the performance items for which data is collected.
  • System monitoring controls monitoring for key indicators, event logs, performance items, services, network devices, SNMP traps and security updates. For each aspect of monitoring, the related response defines how ServerAssist
  • Application monitoring controls monitoring for network-based applications. For each aspect of monitoring, the related response defines how ServerAssist responds to incidents.
  • Report presentation sets how some sections of the status reports are presented .
  • Scheduled tasks controls data store maintenance, performance data summarisation, how automatic status report generation is scheduled and processed and the backups that periodically move application data and log files off the server.
  • External servers defines the connections to the SMTP server responsible for handling e-mail messages, where the ServerAssist data store is located and the FTP server used to store backups.
  • Access control sets the network management options, the permissions for each authentication method, and the primary and secondary passwords.
