Configuration - Thresholds & Filters

The thresholds & filters settings control the thresholds for some of the key indicator metrics and the event log filters used to limit the responses to logged events.

Core Key Indicator Thresholds

The key indicator thresholds are used to determine how metrics within the key indicators report are colour-coded, with different thresholds available for each fixed, logical disk present in the system. Note that the core indicator thresholds are only for the preset indicators (CPU load, memory usage and fixed disk usage). For individual performance items which have been configured to be part of the key indicators, thresholds are set as part of system monitoring.

Event Log Filters

In order to manage the volume of events displayed on the event logs report, or those that generate a response as part of ServerAssist's event log monitoring, ServerAssist provides the capability to filter events, either by excluding all events that match one or more filters, or by only including events that match one or more filters. Each filter can match on one or more attributes of the event, allowing both simple and complex filters to be created.
