Data Management - Scheduled Collections

Each scheduled collection collects one or more types of data from one or more systems, and can be scheduled to collect data once per day at a set hour, every few hours or continuously.

The four types of data are

• Summarised performance data
• Archived events
• Alerts
• Raw performance data

Note that in order to collect summarised performance data and archived events, the system must be configured to collect the data for each individual server.

Note also that the volume of raw performance data generated can be very significant and this option should not be enabled unless the bandwidth and data storage implications have been considered. Furthermore, some data can be filtered to limit the volume collected.
