Why does ServerAssist support agents?
An agent-based architecture gives a much more stable platform for storing data and preserving network
bandwidth with a low amount of dependency. For a multisite monitoring requirement, an agent based
architecture is the best solution. Although some local resources are used for processing
and relaying the data upon request, the overall impact on a server's operation is negligible.
How much bandwidth does ServerAssist need to run?
ServerAssist's agent-based architecture allows little or no network bandwidth usage.
By default, all data is stored on the local machine, and the management console and web interface
access that data as required. When monitoring machines over the network (without the use of agents)
the bandwidth usage is still small, and will not load a typical modern network.
How often do you release new versions of ServerAssist?
We aim to release 2-3 main releases per year. If you would like to find out more about our current
development plans, please take a look at our
product roadmap.
