To run ServerAssist, you should have the following:
- Windows Server 2008, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2003, Windows
XP or Windows 2000.
- Internet Information Server 5.0 or higher (for the web-based
interface)
- Microsoft Management Console 1.2 or higher (for the snap-in)
- Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher
- Microsoft Data Access Components 2.1 or higher
- Jet 4.0 database engine
- Administrative privileges on the system (only required for installation)
- Pentium-class PC (300 MHz or higher recommended)
- 256 MB RAM
- 30 MB disk space
- Super VGA monitor (recommended screen resolution of at least 1024
x 768)
ServerAssist can also be used to monitor Windows XP Professional, Windows
2000 Professional and Windows NT Workstation. Despite the fact that these
are not "server" operating systems, ServerAssist will install and provide
full functionality on these platforms.
Note that while a full installation is not supported on Windows NT4,
legacy NT4 systems can be fully monitored with ServerAssist.
Microsoft Management Console 1.2, Microsoft Data Access Components 2.1
and the Jet 4.0 database engine are installed as part of Windows 2000 and
above, and are freely available from Microsoft for systems running Windows
NT4.
